The Pet Photographer’s Code

You realize this is all made up, right? None of this is real? So why not make stuff up more deliberately? Here’s an example:

I made up a Pet Photographer’s Code one day. I had used the term in a post somewhere, saying that I wasn’t allowed to pick a favorite for the Dogs with Soul Calendar Contest because it went against the “Pet Photographer’s Code”. What code? Who made up this code? I looked and looked, couldn’t find one anywhere, so I thought “I’ll make up this Code!”

Couple things:
First: Parental Advisory - sometimes I swear and I do in this video, pretty innocuously tho.
Second: If you pause to read like suggested, the embedded video won’t show what is meant to show, you have to actually watch it on Tiktok to pause it and read it. Which I encourage you to do and Like and Follow and all that jazz.

The Pet Photographer’s Code

1 - Have the deepest respect for animals. We might annoy on occasion, but never harm or frighten. We have patience with them and adapt to their needs. Our love for animals is why we are in this industry!

2 - Safety First! Leash and collar/harness at all outdoor sessions, and a pet-safe indoor studio.

3 - No favorites! I fall in LOVE with every client! Every client is PERFECT and adorable!

4 - Keep a Pawsitive attitude! We keep our cool, roll with any changes, and embrace the chaos. There is always chaos!

5 - Honesty and integrity! We keep our bark as good as our bite by being upfront about our costs, policies, and process.

6 - Praise! We acknowledge every big stretch, and reward everyone with treats - sometimes for no reason! Treats for all!

7 - Most importantly - We Have FUN!

We keep leashes on and remove them using MAGIC!
